Ramsey to St Ives

Starting at Ramsey Abbey Gatehouse, the Trail climbs up into the ‘highlands’ to the south before travelling east via Warboys along the fen edge towards Earith and then south west to St Ives, along the River Great Ouse. The route is described in three parts:

Ramsey to Warboys – 2 walks: 1st Ramsey to Wistow via Bury (published 4.9 miles) 2nd Wistow to Warboys via Broughton (due August 2018 5.8 miles)

Warboys to Earith – 2 walks: 1st Warboys to Somersham (due autumn 2018) 2nd Somersham to Earith (due 2019)

Earith to St Ives – 2 walks: Earith to Holywell via Bluntisham (due winter 2018/19) and Holywell to St Ives (due winter 2018/19)

There is an additional walk upstream along the River Ouse to Godmanchester,and Portholme Meadow and back following both the north and south sides of the river (due summer 2019)
